On February 11, 2027, Ugly Kid Joe lands at Le Bikini in Ramonville-Saint-Agne with its satirical hard rock, nourished by funk and alternative metal, and that sense of the chorus that has defined them since the early 1990s. Formed in Isla Vista, California, around singer Whitfield Crane and guitarist Klaus Eichstadt, the band quickly established itself with the EP As Ugly as They Wanna Be and the track 'Everything About You,' before expanding its reach with America's Least Wanted, where biting humor sits beside heavier guitars and direct melodies.
After Menace to Sobriety and Motel California, Ugly Kid Joe paused at the end of the 1990s, before reforming in 2010. Since then, the group has picked up the thread with Stairway to Hell, then Uglier Than They Used to Be and Rad Wings of Destiny. On stage, the original core—Crane, Eichstadt, Cordell Crockett, and Dave Fortman—are now joined by Zac Morris on drums, for a set that ranges between classics and newer material, always with the same energy.
