On 25 November 2026 strongboi will play at Melkweg, Amsterdam. The Berlin-based project of Alice Phoebe Lou and Ziv Yamin grew out of a friendship and a shared penchant for lo-fi pop that needs little more than a good melody and a loose groove. Their songs glide between indie pop, light disco, folk-pop and jazzy ballads. Expect compact structures, warm vocals and spare arrangements that give the songs room to breathe.

Since their first singles in 2020, strongboi has been building a repertoire that stays intimate while inviting listeners to move. In the studio and on stage they keep things direct and unpolished; the duo can be joined live by a band to give the songs more breadth and depth without losing their intimacy. The self-titled debut album from 2023 continues this approach with handcrafted pop, a discreet groove and a songwriting style that feels loose.

Live, strongboi consistently seeks the balance between intimate spontaneity and collective energy. Between danceable passages and softer, melancholic moments an atmosphere emerges that builds gradually, roughens where necessary, and then settles into something small and close.
