Shaggy brings his unmistakable dancehall flow to Jazz Cafe, London, on 6 August 2026. Few voices have carried Caribbean music so far outside Kingston: from early days on New York’s scene to breakthrough with Oh Carolina, he shaped a crossover sound where digital riddims, R&B shades and pop hooks meet his gravelly baritone and Jamaican deejay phrasing. The run of Boombastic, It Wasn’t Me, Angel and Hey Sexy Lady set the tone for 90s–00s Caribbean pop and pulled dancehall into the mainstream. With more than 40 million records sold, billions of streams and a rare diamond certification for a dancehall artist, his catalogue still cuts through.

On stage, he flips between party starters and slower melodies, balancing toasting and sung refrains. The set digs into Hot Shot-era anthems and reaches forward to Lucky Day, Intoxication and Summer in Kingston, plus the Sting collaboration 44/876 and recent projects Wah Gwaan?!, Christmas in the Islands and In the Mood.
