Mexico-born guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela bring their acoustic interplay to O2 Academy Glasgow on March 17, 2027. Formed in Mexico City in the mid-90s, Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero left their metal roots for nylon strings and honed their sound busking in Dublin: rapid, melodic lead lines locked to driving, percussive rhythm work tapped and strummed on the guitar body.

On stage, they build instrumental narratives that move between flamenco inspirations, Latin pulse, rock grit and folk-tinged motifs. The conversation between Rodrigo’s agile solos and Gabriela’s syncopated patterns is the core of the show, gliding from delicate figures to dense grooves without losing momentum.
