Wage War balance abrasive screams, clean refrains and thick, percussive riffs. From Blueprints to Stigma, they’ve moved from straight breakdowns toward wider song structures without dropping the heaviness, trading tension and release with choruses built to stick.
We Came As Romans carry the Detroit-area post-hardcore thread, tensing chugging guitars against electronic textures and melodic lines. The Darkbloom era pushes a focused, heavy sound with call-and-response moments and a knack for contrasts.
Philadelphia’s Varials keep it raw and tight: downtuned grooves, stop‑start rhythms and a hardcore bite with a nu metal undertow, alternating slow-burn pressure and sudden drops.
From New Orleans, Cane Hill thread nu metal, alternative and industrial shades. Between serrated riffs and moodier passages, they switch from spoken-word grit to cleaner melodies, revisiting recent releases alongside earlier tracks.
