Everlast

Everlast plays Rough Trade Bristol on 29 August 2026 for a live performance followed by a signing. Born Erik Schrody, the Long Island artist has been crossing hip-hop, blues, folk rock and acoustic urban rock since the late ’80s. After an early solo start around Ice‑T’s Rhyme Syndicate, he co-founded House of Pain with DJ Lethal and Danny Boy, then shifted toward the sung, guitar-led storytelling that defined Whitey Ford Sings the Blues and the records that followed. His songwriting blends laid-back beats, resonant guitars and a spoken-sung flow rooted in narrative detail.

This date marks the release of his new album, Embers to Ashes, on Martyr Inc Records. On stage, Everlast connects new material with the threads running through his catalogue, from Whitey Ford-era staples to collaborations like Put Your Lights On and his La Coka Nostra chapters, tracing the line between rap cadence and American songwriting. The show is followed by a signing session with the artist at the venue.
