Jahneration

On March 19, 2027 at L’Autre Canal in Nancy, Jahneration brings their reggae nourished by hip‑hop and dancehall. The Parisian duo of Thëo and Ogach, long‑time friends, swapped punk rock for riddims in 2009. Since then they have written and sung in English laced with Jamaican patois, inspired by regular stays on the island and a memorable visit to Tuff Gong Studios in 2017. On stage, surrounded by musicians, they blend flows and melodic hooks, moving between roots textures and digital sonics.

The track “Me Nah Fed Up,” born from their encounter with Naâman in 2011, laid the foundations of their reggae/hip‑hop identity and opened a chapter of collaborations with Alborosie, Queen Omega, Manu Chao, Dub Inc and Danakil. Signed to Ovastand since 2015, they have piled up gigs and released six albums that refine a current, rhythmic and warm sound. In Nancy, they appear in a set conceived for the stage, where hip‑hop pulses, Jamaican echoes and live energy assemble effortlessly—an ease earned over hundreds of concerts.
