On March 27, 2027, Anthony Kavanagh arrives at the Théâtre de la Gaîté Montparnasse with Jet Lag, a stand-up tailored to explore various kinds of displacements: those of time zones, languages, social codes, and, more broadly, our increasingly fast-paced lives. A Quebec comedian, he cultivates an art of blending: direct stand-up, improv, music, dance and impressions answer one another to establish a flexible rhythm and keep the audience riveted without forced effects. He observes cultural differences, couple dynamics, today’s society, and those moments when we feel off the mark, with a precision that favors the moment and playful interaction with the audience. No posturing—rather a lively, mobile narrative that moves from anecdote to musical riff, from an accent to a character, following the thread of very everyday situations. Jet Lag becomes an amused mirror of our habits and contradictions, a way to set things straight while laughing, for an evening in the heart of Montparnasse.
