Info
The Lemonheads land at Monroe’s Tavern, Galway, on 17 September 2026, with Evan Dando steering the band back onstage behind Love Chant, their first studio album in nearly two decades. Written across continents and largely recorded in São Paulo, the new songs reconnect Dando with longtime collaborators while opening the door to fresh voices, staying close to the band’s DNA: tuneful, direct, and a little rough around the edges.
On stage, that balance comes through in a set that leans into Love Chant — from the punch of Deep End to the hushed pull of The Key Of Victory and the driving title track — and folds them alongside the material that took The Lemonheads from scrappy Boston punk beginnings to 90s alt-pop fixtures. Since 1986, the lineup has shifted around Dando’s songwriting, where sharp hooks, jangle and folk-tinged detours keep the songs clear and unforced.
Three decades on from It’s A Shame About Ray and Come On Feel The Lemonheads, the influence remains, and these tracks still hit with a simple immediacy. In Galway, it’s about new pages and familiar sparks, a straight line from early chaos to the melodic pull that keeps people coming back.
