Info
Theory of a Deadman roll into Rock City in Nottingham on 5 February 2027 with a set built on solid riffs, big choruses and a catalogue that never stopped shifting shape. Formed in 1999 in North Delta, British Columbia, the Canadian quartet led by Tyler Connolly first carved its place in the post-grunge and hard rock lane, blending punchy guitars with a melodic streak that leans toward alternative and pop rock, sometimes even acoustic or country shades. Early releases — the self-titled debut in 2002, Gasoline in 2005 and Scars & Souvenirs in 2008 — anchored their sound and put them on the map across North American stages.
The 2010s opened wider horizons: The Truth Is… (2011) and Savages (2014) kept the rock backbone while streamlining the writing. A sharper turn came with Wake Up Call in 2017, recorded with Martin Terefe, where the band briefly shortened its name to Theory and embraced a more pop rock approach. Say Nothing (2020) pushed the lyrics toward social themes, before Dinosaur (2023) brought back a heavier edge. On stage, this trajectory turns into a direct, hook-forward show that moves from gritty cuts to singable melodies without breaking stride, revisiting the early years and the newer material in the same breath.
