1000mods (stoner/heavy rock — Greece). 1000mods is a Greek heavy rock band renowned for its riffs, energetic live shows and authenticity. Since their beginnings two decades ago, the band has made a name for itself on the international rock scene through its songwriting and numerous performances around the world. Formed in 2006, the band has released five albums, the latest being Cheat Death (2024). Steeped in metal and punk influences, the album features ten tracks. From the early releases Super Van Vacation (2011) and Vultures (2014) to the rock’n’roll energy of Repeated Exposure to... (2016), and the turn toward alt‑rock on Youth of Dissent (2020), 1000mods has pursued a no‑frills approach. The band has performed extensively across Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia. Rooted in the traditions of heavy rock and psychedelia, 1000mods blends 1970s rock influences with a more contemporary outlook. The band claims a DIY spirit.
