T!Lt: Lowertown

Lowertown, the duo of Olivia Osby and Avsha Weinberg, arrive in Turin on 24 September 2026 at sPAZIO211 with a live performance that highlights their evolution: from early bedroom pop and lo‑fi tracks to a sharper indie rock sound edged with post‑punk and acoustic passages. On stage the band takes shape with a lineup often expanded, which makes the songs more direct without losing the rough intimacy that defines them.

At the center of the set is Ugly Duckling Union, a concept born from the idea of a community built around music and marking a more considered songwriting approach than their beginnings. The new songs open onto a less impulsive, more lucid tone: Mice Protection plays with chronic indecision, Forgive Yourself confronts shame without self‑indulgence, and I Like You a Lot offers a rare sentimental aside. Interwoven are tracks from earlier work, from The Gaping Mouth to I Love to Lie, with suspended melodies, gritty guitars and shifts in mood. Osby’s voice—direct and unadorned—locks into Weinberg’s arrangements, creating tensions and releases that work live.
