On 17 October 2026 at A L P H A B E T in Brighton and Hove, John Craigie brings his folk-Americana songs built like conversations. For over a decade he’s drawn people in with sincerity rather than spectacle, mixing fingerpicked guitar, harmonica and dry, off-the-cuff storytelling. His new album I Swam Here, released on 6 February 2026 on Zabriskie Point Records, was written and produced by Craigie and shaped between New Orleans and Astoria. Seven tracks were cut at Deslonde St Studios with musicians handpicked by Sam Doores of The Deslondes, including Howe Pearson, Max Bien Khan and Jonny Campos, with a cameo from Desiree Cannon. On stage, that material sits naturally alongside earlier songs, in a set that pivots on melody, narrative and an intimate, unhurried delivery.
Special guest Jobi Riccio opens. A songwriter and performer based in Nashville and originally from Colorado, she brings a clear, contemporary folk touch and a storyteller’s focus that dovetail with Craigie’s conversational approach.
