Little Barrie

Little Barrie bring their raw, groove-led rock back to the stage at the Hare & Hounds in Birmingham on 20 September 2026. Built around singer-guitarist Barrie Cadogan, the band has spent over two decades fusing British rock grit with American blues, funk and soul, moving from garage punch to more spacious, psychedelic textures. After the passing of drummer Virgil Howe in 2017, Cadogan and bassist Lewis Wharton paused the project before reshaping their sound with long-time ally Malcolm Catto for Quatermass Seven and Electric War. Now returning under their own name with Gravity Freeze, their sixth studio album, they push into tighter hooks, heavier grooves and denser atmospheres, recorded with a focus that sharpens every line and beat. On stage, expect Cadogan’s precise, wiry guitar and Wharton’s driving bass to thread through riff-led burners and slow, echo-drenched pieces, tracing the band’s journey while opening a fresh chapter in their psych-soul continuum.
