On 4 July 2026, Fox & Firkin in London hosts the third garden gathering of Chancha Vía Circuito x El Búho. Two key figures of Latin American and global electronic scenes reunite outdoors for a daytime session rooted in cumbia mutations, downtempo grooves and live instrumentation, with a circle of guests joining along the way.
From Buenos Aires, Chancha Vía Circuito (Pedro Canale) tugs digital cumbia toward new spaces, mixing hand-played percussion, slow-motion rhythms and folk motifs from across the Andes and the Amazon. On records like Rodante, Río Arriba, Amansara and Bienaventuranza, he builds wide, breathing arrangements where drum patterns and bass lines carry melodies without flash, keeping one foot in the club and one in a more contemplative zone.
Facing him, El Búho (Robin Perkins) brings a palette of Andean rhythms, dub textures and field recordings, a detailed downtempo language he’s refined on Balance, Camino de Flores and Ramas, and through the Shika Shika collective. Together they weave a fluid back-and-forth—DJ cuts, live elements, organic sounds—drawing a line between tradition and contemporary production.
