On 18 August 2026 at Rescue Rooms in Nottingham, The Flatliners lead a night of melodic punk with special guests A Wilhelm Scream.
Formed in the early 2000s near Toronto, The Flatliners shifted from ska punk beginnings to a sharper, melodic strain of punk rock with a rasping voice up front and guitars that push straight ahead. From Destroy to Create through The Great Awake, Cavalcade and Dead Language, the quartet cemented quick tempos and chant-ready refrains; Inviting Light broadened their palette, then New Ruin brought the bite back. On stage they draw across that span without ceremony, stacking tight rhythms and singable lines into short, urgent bursts.
From New Bedford, Massachusetts, A Wilhelm Scream fuse punk rock, melodic hardcore and skate punk with fast, precise guitar work and sudden turns. Mute Print, Ruiner and Career Suicide laid the groundwork; Partycrasher and Lose Your Delusion kept the pace while deepening the detail. Their live set focuses that energy, folding tricky parts into lean songs built to move a crowd.
Two bands, one date, same aim: loud, melodic guitars and momentum.
