Ghostwoman

On 10 September 2026 at ICA Bookstore, London, GHOSTWOMAN bring their stripped, hypnotic rock to an intimate setting. Led by Canadian songwriter Evan Uschenko with Belgian drummer Ille van Dessel, the duo shape lean songs from raw guitars, motorik undercurrents and a dry, post-punk tension. Their fourth album, Welcome to the Civilized World, pushes that line further: short forms, blurred atmospheres and repetition that creeps rather than bursts. Born from DIY instinct — first sketched on tape in an abandoned Alberta farmhouse — the project has kept a lo-fi edge while sharpening its focus on stage.

Live, GHOSTWOMAN stay close to the bone. Patterns lock, riffs circle, vocals cut through the haze, and the groove does the heavy lifting without ornament. The set draws across Ghost Woman (2022), Anne, If (2023) and Hindsight Is 50/50 (2024), folding into the new material’s tougher grain. Support comes from Desert Liminal to open the evening.
