Shftd and Strange Brew present Jarboe featuring Joy Von Spain, with Dawn Terry, on Tuesday 19 May 2026 at Strange Brew, Bristol, from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
Jarboe, former member of Swans, will tour the UK and Europe in May 2026, presenting a collaboration with vocalist and composer Joy Von Spain (Eye of Nix). The live set draws from Jarboe's catalogue of industrial, experimental and atmospheric works. The duo will also debut two ambient pieces from her forthcoming album, "Sightings".
From the days of Bong to a host of collaborations; from lo-fi dungeon synth to an improvised solo drone project, Dawn Terry is part of the UK underground. She plays slow, melancholic, optimistic music. Based in Newcastle, she is a drone artist producing work that is dreamlike and hypnotic. In her recent music, Dawn has turned towards acoustic resonances provided by accordion, hurdy-gurdy and voice.
