Info
The Reytons bring their straight-ahead, guitar-led rock to Connexin Live, Hull, on 16 October 2026. Formed in Rotherham in 2017, the four-piece — Jonny Yerrell (vocals), Joe O’Brien (guitar), Lee Holland (bass) and Jamie Todd (drums) — has carved out a sound rooted in UK indie and garage rock: tight rhythms, clipped riffs and lyrics drawn from everyday life. From early DIY releases It Was All So Monotonous, K.O.T.E. and Alcopops & Charity Shops through the debut album Kids Off the Estate, the band has kept the writing direct and the grooves compact. The line continues with What’s Rock and Roll? in 2023 and Ballad of a Bystander in 2024, two self-released records that refine the formula without smoothing the edges.
On stage, The Reytons favour lean arrangements and a brisk pace, a live approach captured on the 2024 recording from Clifton Park in Rotherham. In Hull, they line up tracks spanning their catalogue, moving from early staples to newer cuts with little downtime. Hooks land fast, choruses stick, and the focus stays on momentum, punch and the everyday stories that run through their songs.
