Pinhani

On 24 June 2026 at Arts Club, Liverpool, Pinhani bring their blend of modern Turkish rock and folk colour to the stage. Formed in Istanbul and led by songwriter and singer Sinan Kaynakcı, the quartet balances melodic guitar lines with acoustic textures drawn from regional traditions. Since their debut İnandığın Masallar (2006), the band has shaped concise, song‑first writing across records including Zaman Beklemez and Yollar Bizi Bekler.

Live, that approach opens into wider shades: electric riffs meet kemençe phrases, tulum drones cut through crisp drums, and bağlama or zurna step in as counterpoint to bass and vocals. Selim Aydın (bass), Hami Ünlü (drums) and Eray Polat (guitar) build a tight frame, leaving space for modal turns and dynamic shifts without crowding the melody. The set moves between original songs and reworked folk numbers, keeping a steady pulse and clear hooks while letting the timbres breathe.
