Superheaven

Superheaven bring their 90s‑tinged alternative rock to Foundry, Sheffield on 8 July 2026. Formed in Doylestown, Pennsylvania in 2008 and first known as Daylight, the band sits at the crossroads of alternative rock, melodic post‑hardcore and the emo revival, with thick, overdriven guitars and vocals kept plain and unvarnished. Early EPs Sinking (2009), Dispirit (2010) and The Difference in Good and Bad Dreams (2012) led to Jar (2013) on Run For Cover; a year later, a legal issue prompted the shift to the name Superheaven without changing course musically.

Recorded with Will Yip, the second album Ours Is Chrome (2015) tightened their balance of weight and melody, favouring tension and restraint over speed. After a quieter spell, the group returned for occasional shows from 2017 and took back to the road more regularly from 2022. New singles Long Gone and Numb to What Is Real arrived in 2024, followed by a self‑titled album in 2025 that extends their blend of grit and tunefulness. On stage, the quartet stack saturated riffs, a grunge‑bent groove and slow‑burn dynamics drawn from across their catalogue.
