Info
Josiah and the Bonnevilles is the vehicle for American songwriter Josiah Leming, a project that moves between Morristown, Tennessee and today’s indie folk. On 31 October 2026 at Whelan’s in Dublin, he brings songs shaped by Americana, alt-folk and a touch of country and acoustic pop. Centered on voice and guitar, the arrangements stay lean to let the words carry stories of small-town life, distance, travel and relationships, with that constant tug between staying put and taking off.
Formed in the mid-2010s after early years under his own name, the project shifts live between solo format and band line-ups, opening space for ballads that sit close to the bone and more rhythmic titles built for the stage. The recent albums Country Songs (2022) and Endurance (2023) trace this path, mixing stripped-back storytelling with tunes that move at a steadier clip. In the room at Whelan’s, the set leans on that balance: narrative folk, country hues and unfussy melodies, played with a focus on the song above all.
