Info
Kathleen Edwards brings the blend of folk, rock and alt‑country that has shaped her writing since the beginning. Born in Ottawa, the singer and songwriter first surfaced with the EP Building 55, then broke through with Failer, before extending her line with Back to Me and Asking for Flowers. Her songs follow intimate narratives and everyday characters, carried by electric guitars, country shades and slow-burning ballads rooted in North American streets and backroads.
With Voyageur in 2012, co-produced with Justin Vernon, she widened her indie folk palette, then stepped away for a time before returning with Total Freedom in 2020. On September 19, 2026 at History Ottawa in Ottawa, she draws across that catalogue, from raw early cuts to more spacious recent work. The set keeps the focus on melody and plainspoken lyrics, the grain of her voice up front and the band leaving room for the songs to breathe.
