Kassi Valazza writes Americana songs about solitude and self-discovery. Her album From Newman Street (May 2025, Fluff & Gravy / Loose Music) explores internal and external landscapes. Written between Portland and her home in New Orleans, and recorded with Matt Thomson at Echo Echo Studios, the album reflects on change, restlessness, and growth. Rooted in the Southwest and the Pacific Northwest, her music focuses on movement and reflection. These songs consider how uncertainty can bring a sense of peace.
