On 2 June 2026 at the Vortex, Bruno Heinen joins New York drummer Nasheet Waits (Jason Moran, Andrew Hill, Fred Hersch) and double bassist Rio Kai. The trio balances Heinen’s lyrical, classically informed compositions with the avant-garde energy of the New York jazz lineage, moving from intimate melodic passages to exploratory improvisations.
