New Model Army

Those first records, Vengeance and The Ghost of Cain, set a direct writing style with political, social and intimate themes carried by tense rhythms and sharp guitars. Thunder and Consolation brought stronger folk colours and violin, while the 90s albums leaned toward more melodic forms. In the 2010s and 2020s, Between Dog and Wolf, Winter, From Here and Unbroken deepened a darker, narrative approach, playing with contrasts between drive and space.
