On 15 August 2026 at Custom House Square, Belfast, Foy Vance leads A Celebration of Life on home turf. Raised between Northern Ireland and the American South, his songs sit where folk, soul and gospel meet. The set moves from hushed ballads to raw, full-voiced refrains, with guitar-led stories from Hope, Joy of Nothing, The Wild Swan and later work that leans into Americana and roots. The band keeps the frame lean, letting the grain of his voice take the foreground.
Joshua Burnside opens a different door within the folk tradition. The Belfast-based songwriter folds field recordings, subtle electronics and rhythmic turns into fingerpicked melodies, with Irish and Scottish threads running through a hazy indie edge. From Ephrata to recent releases, his live set shifts between close-up confession and off-kilter grooves, building tension from quiet details.
From Texas, Bonnie Bishop brings a warm, straight-talking mix of country, southern rock and understated soul. A songwriter whose work has been cut by Bonnie Raitt, she leans on clear storytelling and a lived-in voice over gloss, moving from road-worn ballads to organ-tinged shuffles. In Belfast, her songs add a Southern hue to the night.
