Laibach bring their MUSICK Tour to The 1865, Southampton on 1 October 2026. Since the early 1980s, the Slovenian collective has cultivated an industrial and avant‑garde language built on pastiche, satire and appropriation. On stage, they appear as a uniformed, near‑anonymous ensemble, folding music, performance and visual art into a single gesture. Their repertoire shifts from unusual readings of Western pop songs to martial electronics and neo‑classical tension, echoing their theatre and symphonic work on Also Sprach Zarathustra, Wir sind das Volk and the Alamut adaptation. Focused on the symbols of power, nationalism and propaganda, Laibach reframe cultural codes rather than feed the cult of originality. Four decades in, they approach the concert as a total artwork: precise, ritual and full of deliberate contradictions. MUSICK condenses this trajectory into a live set where reworks and motifs from across their catalogue meet a stark, disciplined visual language.
