Alabama 3 Acoustic

Alabama 3 bring their Acoustic set to New Century Locker, Manchester on Friday 30 October 2026. Born in Brixton in the mid-90s, the group built its name by folding country and blues into an electronic backbone, with gospel cadences, harmonica and trip-hop atmospheres steering their street-corner sermons. In acoustic mode, they strip the machinery back to guitars, voices and hand-played grooves, giving the songs more grain and space. The set revisits deep cuts and staples from Exile on Coldharbour Lane through Step 13, recast with close-up vocals and rough-edged storytelling, and includes the Sopranos theme Woke Up This Morning in a leaner shape. Fronted by Rob Spragg since the passing of Jake Black, Alabama 3 keep their mix of preacher talk and a very British take on Southern myth, but let the arrangements breathe, trading club weight for warmth and tension. An intimate way to hear how their blend of blues, gospel and rave spirit holds together when everything else is turned down.
