Info
Born in the Scottish Highlands and now based in Glasgow, Tide Lines shape a sound that threads folk rock, melodic pop and a subtle Celtic pulse. Led by singer Robert Robertson with Alasdair Turner, Ross Wilson and Fergus Munro, the quartet writes songs that carry images of coastlines and small-town life, switching between plain-spoken storytelling and the occasional hint of Gaelic. Their debut Dreams We Never Lost set the tone in 2017, followed by Eye of the Storm in 2020 and An Ocean Full of Islands in 2023, three records that trace a steady path toward clear, singable melodies and arrangements that balance electric guitars, keys and traditional textures.
On 11 May 2026 at O2 Academy Oxford, expect a set built around those songs: direct choruses, steady dynamics and a live energy that leans on community, memory and travel without losing sight of the present. Tide Lines don’t chase nostalgia; they fold it into modern writing, letting the Highlands’ landscape and Glasgow’s pace meet on stage. It’s music that feels close-up and open-road at once, crafted to be sung back as much as listened to.
