Portugal. The Man land at SWG3 Glasgow on 9 December 2026 with a set that threads indie rock roots through psych swirls, pop hooks and a hint of soul. Born in Alaska and long based around Portland, the band shaped its identity from the lo-fi edge of Waiter: You Vultures! and Church Mouth to the broader melodies of Censored Colors and The Satanic Satanist. Evil Friends with Danger Mouse sharpened their electronic tilt, a move carried into Woodstock and its breakout Feel It Still, then into Chris Black Changed My Life, where a rock core holds steady while the lyrics lean into social themes. Taut grooves, falsetto flashes and choruses that stick without the gloss taking over.
Joining the night, Cassia bring a tropical-leaning indie pop built on clear guitars, supple percussion and a bittersweet melodic feel. The Macclesfield trio came up on singles and EPs before delivering Replica, then Why You Lacking Energy?, pushing a more refined production while keeping the direct kick of their early tracks. Their songs ride airy, danceable grooves set against a soft vocal tone and a reflective undercurrent, a balance honed on the road across the UK and Europe.
