Guitarist, vocalist and songwriter D.K. Harrell presents stinging single-note bends, soulful vocals and original songs. He performs at The Cluny on 16 July 2026 at 6:30 pm.
With his Alligator Records debut album, Talkin’ Heavy, Harrell delivers blues informed by tradition.
Talkin’ Heavy features twelve original songs with his guitar work and church-influenced vocals. Produced by Christoffer “Kid” Andersen and recorded at Greaseland Studio, the album includes A Little Taste, Grown Now, Vibe With Me and the closer Praise These Blues. On the title track he sings, “the world is just heavy with the blues.”
