Pete Tong brings Ibiza Classics to Scarborough on 26 June 2026 at Scarborough Open Air Theatre. A DJ, radio figure and A&R who helped introduce Chicago house to the UK, Tong is known for Essential Selection and Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 and for long-running residencies in Ibiza. With arranger-conductor Jules Buckley, he has reworked dancefloor staples into orchestral pieces on Classic House, Ibiza Classics, Chilled Classics and Pete Tong & Friends, carrying the island’s sound into a live format.
On stage, Tong leads from the decks while a live ensemble expands the originals with strings, brass and percussion. The set moves like a club night: a steady rise, peak-time energy, then a Balearic exhale, reconnecting big hooks and deep grooves with the physicality of live instruments. Selection and pacing stay at the core, with Tong threading Chicago roots, UK club culture and sunlit Ibiza memories into one continuous flow.
