DMA’s play Rock City, Nottingham, on 20 May 2026. Formed in Sydney in 2012, the trio Tommy O’Dell, Matt Mason and Johnny Took shaped a sound between indie rock, alternative and a clear britpop streak, first noticed with Delete and a self‑titled debut EP. Their albums Hills End, For Now, The Glow and How Many Dreams? move from guitar‑led writing toward wider, sometimes more rhythmic textures, while keeping sharp melodies and clean, ringing guitars at the core.

On stage, the band shifts from intimate ballads to tighter, pulsing numbers, often stretching arrangements and dynamics. The set draws across their catalogue, from early cuts to recent tracks, balancing hooks, chiming riffs and a vocal line with a pop edge. Regulars of UK venues and festivals, and past tour‑mates to Liam Gallagher, Richard Ashcroft, Kasabian and The Kooks, DMA’s come with a live approach that favours concise songwriting and the collective drive of a focused three‑piece, occasionally coloured by the electronic touches heard on their latest phase.
