Info
Nottingham’s Panchiko play Belfast on 30 October 2026 at Empire Music Hall, carrying the lo-fi haze and dream-pop shimmer that shaped their beginnings. Formed by Owain Llewelyn, Andy Wright and John Still at the end of the 90s, the band stepped back early after self-released CD-Rs like D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L (2000) and Kicking Cars (2001). Years later, those recordings resurfaced online and led the trio back to the stage.
Onstage, Panchiko threads saturated guitars, understated electronics and a melancholic voice into songs tightened for a room. The set moves between shoegaze blur, indie hooks and soft-focus pop, revisiting early tracks and opening onto newer material from 2023’s Failed at Math(s). The lo-fi textures remain, but with more structure and clarity, giving their older pieces new weight alongside recent work. A concise journey through a catalogue that went quiet, travelled on its own, then found the band again.
