Jack Savoretti

Anglo-Italian singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti plays The Glasshouse - International Centre for Music in Gateshead on 25 October 2026. With a stripped-back guitar style and a slightly husky voice, he writes stories of distance, belonging and relationships, drawing on British folk-pop and the Italian song tradition that shaped him. On stage, he moves from intimate ballads to more rhythmic, soul-leaning grooves, letting the grain of his vocal carry the melodies.

From Between the Minds and Written in Scars through Singing to Strangers and Europiana to Miss Italia, his records have widened the palette without losing the directness of his early work. This concert brings that journey together: older titles sit alongside recent tracks tinged with Mediterranean colors and, at times, Italian lyrics. Whether solo or with a tight band, Savoretti keeps the focus on melody and storytelling, with arrangements that stay close to the songs while giving them room to breathe.
