Info
On 12 July 2026 at Village Underground in London, Dua Saleh takes the stage with a sound that threads rap, alternative R&B and experimental pop. Raised between Sudan and the United States and anchored in Minneapolis’s independent scene, the non-binary artist came to music through poetry and spoken word. That origin shapes a delivery that slips from talk-sung lines to smoky melodies and clipped, rhythmic flows. Across the EPs Nūr (2019), Rosetta (2020) and Crossover (2021), Saleh has carved a moody, melodic palette where low-lit electronics meet close-miked vocals and tightly written lyrics.
Live, the set turns on contrast and tension: bass-forward beats against hushed chants, quick switches between rap cadences and sung refrains, words circling identity, the Sudanese diaspora, spirituality and power. The show draws on those records alongside newer tracks, arranged with grainy synths, off-kilter percussion and sudden bursts of harmony. A performance built on rhythm, language and presence, focused, physical and intimate without theatrics.
