Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox brings The Future Is Vintage Tour 2026 to Victoria Hall, Stoke-on-Trent, on 23 May 2026. Founded by pianist-arranger Scott Bradlee, the collective reimagines pop, hip-hop and R&B hits in period styles — from swing to ragtime, doo-wop to soul and big band. On stage, a rotating lineup of singers and instrumentalists, with piano, brass and a rhythm section, transports familiar choruses across different decades.
The set favors finely crafted arrangements, shifts in mood and nods to the golden age of clubs, while retaining the energy of the originals. Voices alternate, each with its own colour, ranging from hushed ballads and crooner-style standards to up-tempo numbers. Solos, vocal harmonies and dance interludes punctuate the evening, in the spirit of a vintage revue that refreshes contemporary pop for the stage without resorting to pastiche. It’s an opportunity to hear familiar hits from a retro perspective conceived for live performance.
