LSD and the Search for God bring their San Francisco shoegaze to Gorilla, Manchester on 19 October 2026. Active since the mid‑2000s, the band has shaped a sound built on saturated guitars, layers of feedback and reverb‑soaked voices, somewhere between dream pop drift and psych‑leaning space rock. Their self‑titled EP in 2007 set the blueprint; Heaven Is a Place in 2017 pushed it further with denser textures and understated, melancholic melodies.
Live, the group plays as a full electric unit and treats volume as an instrument. Songs rise slowly, build in waves and blur at the edges, trading solos for stacked harmonics and drones. Drums hold a steady, unhurried pulse while guitars fuse into one wide band, letting small motifs surface then fade. The set draws from a compact discography, but the focus is immersion: layers, repetition and the pull of overtones.
