Hollywood Vampires land at Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Scarborough, on 15 August 2026. Built around Alice Cooper’s voice, Johnny Depp’s guitar and Joe Perry’s riffs, the supergroup revisits the raw energy of 60s and 70s rock while slipping in their own material. On stage, they thread together gritty hard rock and classic rock, balancing reworkings of songs by Led Zeppelin, The Who or T. Rex with cuts from their albums Hollywood Vampires and Rise. The spirit is direct and riff-driven, with choruses made to be shouted back and a blues tint never far from the surface. Years of touring and a live release from Rock in Rio have honed a set that moves fast and hits hard without fuss.
Formed in London in 1976, The Damned bring the other side of the equation: sharp, melodic punk that later opened toward goth rock and post‑punk atmospheres. First UK band to issue a punk single and a full album, they’ve kept the spark alive through shifting line‑ups led by Dave Vanian and Captain Sensible. On stage, their catalogue swings from urgent early anthems to darker, more theatrical pieces, tracing a path that shaped British alternative rock and still sounds fresh today.
