From the Jam

From the Jam bring the sound and spirit of The Jam back to Birmingham on 13 June 2026 at O2 Institute Birmingham. Drawing on the legacy of the Woking trio active from 1972 to 1982, the show leans into that tight blend of mod revival, punk rock, new wave and power pop, where sharp songwriting meets urgent rhythm and a very British eye for everyday detail.

On stage, the band digs through The Jam’s catalogue, from the raw rush of In the City and This Is the Modern World, through the crafted punch of All Mod Cons and Setting Sons, to the more soulful contours of Sound Affects and The Gift. Expect taut grooves, front-of-the-mix basslines and clipped, melodic guitars pushing songs that balance bite and tunefulness, with lyrics that sketch street life, politics and small dramas with economy. The set charts the arc from the high-velocity energy that cracked the UK punk circuit in 1977 to the pop and soul shades that followed, delivered with the momentum that made these tracks stick across decades.
