Brighton duo Blood Red Shoes bring their taut, no‑frills rock to Village Underground, London, on 29 October 2026. Built around Laura‑Mary Carter’s serrated guitar and Steven Ansell’s driving drums, the band keeps the setup bare and lets voices, riffs and rhythm carry the weight. Since the mid‑2000s they’ve threaded indie rock, garage bite and shades of noise and post‑punk into concise songs that balance rhythmic tension with clearer vocal lines.
On stage, that economy turns into a close‑quarters dialogue: clipped patterns, sharp dynamic shifts and choruses that cut through the grit.
