Poets of the Fall

Poets of the Fall land in London on 27 September 2026 at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Formed in Helsinki in the early 2000s, the trio of singer Marko Saaresto, guitarist Olli Tukiainen and keyboardist/producer Markus “Captain” Kaarlonen craft a melodic alternative rock that blends post‑grunge edges, pop hooks and a cinematic sense of space. The band first came to wider attention with Late Goodbye, written for Max Payne 2, setting up a long-running link with Remedy Entertainment that later threads through Alan Wake and Control.

On stage, those game-world tracks sit alongside a catalogue that has grown steadily across Signs of Life, Carnival of Rust, Revolution Roulette, Twilight Theater, Temple of Thought, Jealous Gods, Clearview, Ultraviolet and Ghostlight. The live show leans on expansive guitars, atmospheric keys and Saaresto’s expressive voice, shifting from hushed verses to open choruses. That back-and-forth between soundtrack work and studio albums shapes a focused, cinematic tone, with the set drawing from different eras without losing the band’s melodic line.
