Gogol Bordello

Gogol Bordello land at The 1865 in Southampton on 24 August 2026. Since 1999, the New York–formed band led by Ukrainian frontman Eugene Hütz has wired punk urgency to violin, accordion and rhythms drawn from Eastern Europe and Latin diasporas. Born out of the Lower East Side with early shows at CBGB, the project grew into an eight-piece, multilingual crew whose live set moves from acoustic street stomp to full-tilt pit anthems.

Their latest record, Solidaritine, taps back into their hardcore streak while keeping the band’s roving gypsy-punk palette intact. On stage, it translates into careening tempos, chant-ready hooks and a communal energy that pulls the room in close. Hütz’s route from Ukraine to New York still courses through these songs: stories of exile, migration, late-night bars and makeshift families found on the road.

Across the years, the group has shared bills with System of a Down, Primus, Rancid and Dropkick Murphys, and worked in the studio with Rick Rubin, Steve Albini and Nic Launay. In Southampton, they bring that experience to a focused, high-voltage show built for movement and release, turning The 1865 into a crossroads for one night.
