Holy Fuck

Canadian outfit Holy Fuck lands at Chalk, Brighton and Hove on 23 September 2026. Formed in Toronto by Brian Borcherdt and Graham Walsh, the band builds electronic music like a live rock act: hardware on the table, bass and drums up front, no pre-programmed backing. What comes out is a tight push-and-pull of motorik grooves, noisy grit and hypnotic repetition, drawing on krautrock, noise rock and the pulse of techno. Across albums from their self-titled debut and LP to Latin, Congrats and Deleter, they’ve folded simple melodic hooks, cut-up vocals and tougher percussion into that raw setup without losing the immediacy of their early days.

On stage, Holy Fuck work in real time, stacking loops, bending synths and riding dynamics with controlled improvisation. Patterns build and buckle, then click back into place, turning studio ideas into something direct and physical. The set leans rhythmic, rough-edged and alive to chance, leaving room for the machines to talk back. Special guests will round out the bill.
