On 15 May 2026 at Manchester Academy, Manchester, Karnivool bring the In Verses Tour with Intervals. The Perth outfit has built a progressive rock language of intricate structures, weighty riffs and tight rhythmic shifts, carried by Ian Kenny's voice and a sense of melodic progression. From Themata to Sound Awake and Asymmetry, their catalogue moves between tension and release, textures and contrast, always shaped as songs rather than showcase pieces. On stage, the band leans into dynamics, polyrhythms and layered guitars for a live narrative that grows and resolves.
Intervals joins the bill with Aaron Marshall's modern prog project from Canada. Centered on guitar writing, the set blends calibrated grooves, odd meters, djent-tinged chugs and airy harmonies. Early EPs The Space Between and In Time set the tone, later refined on A Voice Within, The Shape of Colour, The Way Forward and Circadian. The music balances technique and melody, built on clear motifs, forward motion and detail.
