LP lands at O2 Apollo, Manchester on 2 November 2026. From New York, Laura Pergolizzi has shaped a pop rock and indie pop identity fed by folk-leaning writing and a grainy, elastic voice. First noticed in the 2000s with Heart-Shaped Scar and Suburban Sprawl & Alcohol, she also wrote for Rihanna, Christina Aguilera and Cher, a craft that sharpened her ear for hooks and plainspoken lyrics. Over the years, she’s kept the focus on melody and emotional tension, carried by a voice that cuts through with ease.

On stage, LP puts melody first: guitars, a lean production, whistles between choruses, and that rough-edged tone driving the songs. Lost on You brought international recognition in 2016 and still anchors a catalogue that now runs through Forever for Now, Heart to Mouth, Churches and Love Lines. The set moves between intimate ballads and more driven pop rock, with dynamics that leave space for the voice rather than ornament. Between earlier tracks and recent material, the concert draws a clear through line: direct writing, strong refrains, and arrangements kept simple so the songs breathe.
