Black Pistol Fire

Black Pistol Fire bring their stripped-down firepower to The Garage, London, on 23 July 2026. Formed in Toronto and now based in Austin, the duo of Kevin McKeown (guitar, vocals) and Eric Owen (drums) pushes a blues-soaked garage rock that leaves the bass at home and puts riffs and rhythm up front. Their approach is lean and direct: saturated guitar lines, drums that drive the whole room, tight song structures and a live feel that folds in flashes of punk edge and southern rock color.

On stage, the pair dig through a catalog that runs from their self-titled debut and Big Beat ’59 to Hush or Howl, Don’t Wake the Riot, Deadbeat Graffiti and Look Alive. Across these records, the balance has shifted from raw urgency toward sharper melodies and a few psychedelic shades without losing that immediate, rough-cut grain.
