On 17 July 2026 at Alexandra Park, London, Richard Ashcroft takes the spotlight with a set that puIIs from three decades of writing. First known as the voice and main songwriter of The Verve, he shaped a blend of introspective lyrics, elongated vocal lines and a mix of psych rock and orchestral pop. His solo path leans into melodic alternative rock, from Alone with Everybody and Human Conditions to Keys to the World, These People and Natural Rebel, with Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1 revisiting part of his catalogue. A songwriter moving easily between full-band drive and stripped-back nuance, he also crossed paths with the UK electronic scene through collaborations with UNKLE and The Chemical Brothers.
The Lathums, from Wigan, bring clean guitars, immediate melodies and writing that shifts between restraint, acoustic ballads and brisk pop rock. After early self-released tracks, the band gathered pace with How Beautiful Life Can Be (2021), From Nothing to a Little Bit More (2023) and Matter Does Not Define (2025), affirming a guitar-first sound with clear, ringing lines.
Cast completes the bill. Formed in Liverpool around John Power (ex-The La’s), the group came up in the britpop years with direct, melodic guitar songs and an unfussy energy. From All Change and Mother Nature Calls to Magic Hour, then Troubled Times and Kicking Up the Dust, the band has kept a tight core around Power, Liam Tyson and Keith O’Neill, returning with Love Is the Call in 2024.
