Sierra Ferrell

Sierra Ferrell brings her shape-shifting Americana to Manchester Academy, Manchester, on 24 June 2026. Raised in West Virginia on country, bluegrass and old-time songs, she cut her teeth busking and playing small rooms across the U.S. before settling in Nashville. On stage, that road‑honed mix of tradition and wanderlust comes through in songs that slide naturally between folk, country waltzes, old-time swing and lean, acoustic bluegrass.

Her debut for Rounder, Long Time Coming (2021), marked a turn toward finely drawn vocal harmonies and string arrangements without sanding off the rawness of her writing. Trail of Flowers (2024) keeps that balance, lining up slow ballads beside sprightlier tunes and letting the storytelling breathe. Live, expect a set that pivots from hushed, close-mic intimacy to quickstep rhythms, with fiddle and guitars tracing melodic lines around a voice that carries grain, ease and a clear sense of phrasing.
